• Care

Each HASAdesigns piece is individually hand crafted and most often includes vintage embellishments. While each piece is made to withstand normal wear, items still need to be carefully cared for.

    • Jewelry should not be slept in or worn while showering or swimming. Avoid lotions, perfumes and sunscreens to maintain the integrity of the pieces.
    • Kindly clean items with a soft cloth, warm water and dish soap as needed, but please do not use any type of jewelry cleaner as the chemicals will damage the items (and will void the warranty).
    • If your item is crafted with sterling silver and tarnishes, you may use a silver cleaning cloth to clean it but do not submerge the entire piece in jewelry cleaner (this will void the warranty).
  • Warranty

Items are warrantied for 90 days* with free repair and buyer to cover shipping. I'm happy to repair any piece after 90 days and a minimal cost to the buyer.

Please reach out with any repair needs designs.hasa@gmail.com.

*Please note that designer embellishments are vintage and likely unrepairable.

  • Jewelry Materials

    • Gold filled (which includes both gold and white gold) is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. HASAdesigns mostly uses gold filled and brass to maintain the integrity of the jewelry. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as it literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. Anyone who can wear pure gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry. Gold filled jewelry is also an economical alternative to solid gold!
    • Rhodium is a rare, silvery-white, corrosion-resistant, and highly reflective transition metal. It's a member of the platinum group and also does not flake off, rub off or turn colors.

    • Gold and silver plating is when a single layer of gold or silver (known as a micron) is brushed onto another metal (usually copper or silver) and finished with a layer of lacquer. This process often results in tarnishing and/or an erosion of color.

    • Gold plating is not often used for HASAdesigns creations but, when it is, it contains a thicker finish (a minimum of 2.5 microns) and electroplated to maintain its shine and durability. This process is oftentimes referred to as vermeil and is much more durable.

    • Sterling silver is made of at least 92.5% silver. Over time sterling silver tarnishes as it is exposed to elements like oxygen and sulfur in the air and a dark layer can form on the surface and diminishing its shine. Most HASAdesigns "silver" is actually white gold filled (unless otherwise noted) because it is more durable.
